Little Care, Long Life

Little Care, Long Life

So, you've got a handmade tufting rug or wall hanging? Congrats — you now officially own art and a little responsibility. But don’t worry, no harsh chemicals here. Just cozy tips to help you keep your tufting baby in top shape:

1. “Daily cleaning? Not today, Satan.”

Tufting pieces don’t like being fussed over too much. Only clean them if there’s actual dirt, or a tragic coffee incident. A gentle shake now and then will do.

2. Vacuum like you care (because you do)

Use a soft brush head and flip the rug over to vacuum the back. This way, you avoid stressing out the yarn. Gentle strokes — like petting a sleepy cat.

3. Got a stain? Don’t freak out.

Coffee, juice, paw prints... it happens. Blot with a clean, dry cloth — no scrubbing! Dab gently with soapy water, then rinse with a damp cloth. Harsh chemicals? Big no-no.

4. The sun’s great... until it’s not

Tufting rugs love the sunshine — but too much and their colors fade. Let them chill in shaded or indirect light spots instead.

5. Hanging on the wall? Dust it like you care

A gentle dust-off every now and then is perfect. Use a soft brush or microfiber cloth. It’ll thank you with continued fabulousness.

6. Not using it? Let it nap properly.

No folding, no squeezing. Lay it flat and store in a clean fabric bag. Rested tufting = happy tufting.

Love Your Rug, It’ll Love You Back

Handmade tufting pieces are like little works of art. Treat them with care, and they’ll brighten up your space for years. Tiny efforts, big rewards. Love (and lint rollers) go a long way.
